In addition to providing the above wood heater information, the database contains information regarding the fuel type used and whether the heater is certified as meeting the 2020 “Step 2” emission limits. The database contains information about heaters that are in compliance with the 2015 New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) for New Residential Wood Heaters, New Residential Hydronic Heaters and Forced-Air Furnaces at 40 CFR Part 60 (Subpart AAA). To improve the accessibility and usefulness of the EPA Certified Wood Heater List, the Agency has developed a new fully searchable EPA Certified Wood Heater Database.
